The Clothes Closet

The First Presbyterian Church Clothes Closet began in the mid-1950s when a member of First Presbyterian Church began offering clothing her children had outgrown to help those less fortunate in our community. Today the First Presbyterian Church Clothes Closet serves nearly two thousand individuals from infants to adults with new people being served every week. This outreach ministry of our church is sustained through the generosity of people who donate clean, good quality used clothing and the untiring work of our team of dedicated volunteers.

Donations:
Quality used clothing, shoes, coats in “ready to wear” condition suitable for men, women and children of all sizes may be donated at the church Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5pm.  Receipts for tax purposes are available upon request.

Hours of Operation:
Open to the public on Tuesday from 9 am to noon.

Partnerships
First Presbyterian Church Clothes Closet works hand-in-hand with several community service organizations including the Salvation Army, Safe House, Hope Haven Ministries, American Red Cross and Hay House by providing clothing to people with special needs or during difficult times in their lives.
